A prayer for the A I C W

Father Philip Barrett and his wife Deaconess Karen, have compiled this for our use:

Father God, I/we lift before you the Anglican Independent Communion Worldwide. I/we give thanks and praise to you O Lord, for this Communion, for the work and ministry of all those involved in it and for those being touched by contact with it.

I/we give thanks and praise to you Lord for our Primate Archbishop – Most Revd. Dr.Clive Read and all Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Deaconesses, Ministers and laity throughout the Communion for their ministry and commitment to Jesus Christ. Help us all Lord, whether we be in full communion or affiliated – to be faithful and committed to Jesus Christ, to be ministers of reconciliation and ambassadors for Christ.

Lord, our world is often a dark and hurting place. Help us to minister to people out of your love for us and all the world. Help us Lord in our gospel mission to preach your word, heal the sick, show compassion to the needy, friendship to the lonely and encouragement to the disadvantaged.

Lord in whatever is our capacity within the Communion help us to bear the light of Christ to the world, to be a blessing to all we meet, to bear much fruit and play our part no matter how small in discipling the nations and world wide evangelism. Help us Lord to be “good news people ” as we take the message of your Good News to both our own local neighbourhood and the wider world.
