St. Patrick’s Day
If you are like me, you may be so overcome by the opportunities facing AICW that we forget that – ESSENTIALLY we are family, only only our love of Jesus and the Anglican (high to low) way or worship, UNITE US. The AICW is an UMBRELLA for Provinces that are self-governing and autonomous.
TODAY I heard rom Father Philip in the UK who asked the AICW family:
Please pray for my mum Eileen who fell this morning breaking several ribs. In hospital with her now with my brother Andrew and his wife Alison.
Last Saturday I met with ‘Steve” a business friend of 20 years, who told me he’d been given 3 weeks to 3 months to live “and the 3 weeks ended last Thursday”. He describes himself as an agnostic, and I sensed he WANTED to believe, but God had never been presented in a way he could understand. I entered into a covenant with Steve “I’ll pray every day for your healing, and on 12th September (3 months longer than the doctors had given you) I will contact you so that you can ask me about my God”. Please be part of this daily prayer covenant.
It was my joy today to sign a Certificate of Incardination to a friend of many years, Pastor Peter Cox, and to arrange a date for his Ordination as a Priest in Jávea. Earlier this week, Peter’s+ wife Tricia – a gifted evangelist and humanitarian – had open heart surgery to replace an Aorta valve, and I know that you will keep Peter+, Tricia, Philip+, Eileen and Steve in your prayers. Easter approaches and we are reminded that without Bethlehem there would be no ‘Good Friday’ that would be overturned by the resurrection, and Our Lord would not have ascended to intercede for us. I thank God for each of you.
